Care of rugs – We recommend that you use a suitable underlay with your rug – it will prevent slipping on a hard floor and reduce wear. On very cold, uneven or hard floors a combination felt and crumb rubber underlay is a good choice, or else a non-slip felt such as Foxi-plus works well. Vacuum or shake the rug regularly to get rid of dirt. If you spill something on it blot immediately with a white cotton cloth to soak up the liquid and then get specialist advice. Do not rub because you will end up with a fuzzy patch. We can’t recommend any specific treatments but there is a lot of information at https://extension.illinois.edu/stain/ Please note that we can take no responsibility for anything you might do to your rug following advice from this or any other website; if in doubt consult a specialist carpet cleaner.
Colour- Many monitors and screens do not display all colours accurately so if you are not sure about the rug colour then we can send you small samples of the yarns to help you decide. But please note, the yarn samples we send would not be from the same dye-lots as used in the rug; the effect of two colours crossing each other in the warp and weft has to be taken into account when looking at the yarns; the proportions of the colours used in the design also has to be allowed for. We cannot reserve a rug while you wait for the colours to be sent, but we will try and send the yarns the same day that you request them.
Sizes -These rugs are made from the remnants left over from production weaving and as such represent outstanding value. We make the rugs in sizes according to the length of each remnant, the only sizes available are as currently on the website. We have a tolerance of +/- 5 % on sizes so please allow for that and also please note that the sizes include the fringes. If you want a custom made rug then please visit a stockist to discuss your requirements. (The custom rug service is subject to minimum weaving requirements and is outside the scope of the Ready-made offering.)
Acceptance of order – The processing of your payment and acknowledgement of your order (including sending you an email confirming your order is being processed) does not constitute legal acceptance of your order
All goods shall remain the property of the seller until the balance has been paid in full. If a cheque payment has been made by the purchaser for goods it shall not be treated as payment in full until it has cleared.
Occasionally, an error may occur and goods may be either incorrectly priced or described in which case we will not be obliged to supply the goods at the incorrect price or in accordance with the incorrect description or at all. We reserve the right to correct any errors at any time. If there is an error or discrepancy we will (at our discretion) either cancel your order and refund the price you have paid or use reasonable endeavours to contact you and ask you whether you wish to continue with the corrected order. If we are unable to contact you or you do not wish to continue with the corrected order, we will cancel your order and refund the price you have paid.
Shipping – We can only ship to the mainland UK using this e-commerce site. If you are in the rest of Europe please email us your enquiry and we will quote for carriage, we would need to know which rug you are interested in as the size will affect the cost. We cannot ship the rugs outside Europe.
Returns – If you order a rug and find it doesn’t work for you, you can return it within 14 days as long as it is in the same condition in which you received it and in the original packaging together with a copy of the original invoice. We will refund the price of the rug but not the original shipping cost. Rugs are returnable at the customers’ expense and risk unless the rug was faulty, and we advise that you insure the package because we are not able to refund the price of the rug until we have received and inspected the rug. If the rug is found to be not in a saleable condition we will not accept the return and will send the rug back and the customer will be liable for charges.
If you think that a rug is faulty please contact us to discuss before returning it. If you do return a rug without contacting us we reserve the right not to refund all your costs.
Agreed refunds, credits and exchanges will be reimbursed as soon as possible within a maximum period of 30 days.
